Music Review Friday Pt. 2 : Jonathan's top 5 songs.

Hi All,
Tony and I have been doing reviews of some of our favorite albums the last few fridays and thought you might want to know where we come from as far as musical taste. So we put together our personal top ten song lists. Below you can find the videos of our top 5's. At any point of the day if you ask me what my favorite song is you will hear me say "Living Room" by Tegan and Sara. If you ask what my second favorite song is I think I have answered every one of the rest of the top 10 at one time or another.

P.S. Tony and I did not fully know each others lists until posting.

Tegan & Sarah "Living Room"
This since 2003 has been hands down my favorite song of all time. No matter what mood I am in this song hits the spot. It is hard to imagine a song knocking this off the top spot. All the songs below are next to perfect and they haven't done it. If Neko Case , Tool, and Bright Eyes (my favorite bands) haven't done it by now, It won't be done.

Neko Case "Knock Loud"
This song to me sounds like Tool playing behind Neko Case. There is no voice that even compares to Neko Case. I could have easily put three other Neko songs on this list. I want her voice to be the voice of God if there is a God. If you can track down on Itunes the slightly faster paced live version from her "Austin City Limits " CD, It is a bit better than this recording.

Pitty "Memorias"
I first discovered this Brazilian band through a cover they did of Mars Volta's "The Widow" (another song in consideration for this list). They are one of my favorite bands and I watch their "Ao Vivo" performances on Youtube a lot while I am drawing. This song is very Queens of the Stone Age sounding. The Video is awesome as well.

Kelis Ft. Andre 3000 "Millionaire"

This song was always a favorite and Kelis is one of the only Musicians that I can honestly say that I have everything she has recorded. This song took on extra joy for me in that Lindsay (my wife) loves and out of nowhere often says the Andre line " If you got gliches in your life computer/ turn it off/ reboot it/ now you back on ". Kelis' singing in this is so soulful.

Ghostface Killah "Cherchez La Ghost"

Screw it , I don't need a reason to love this song. I don't need a reason for my unhealthy love for Tony Stark. Ghost at one point in this video holds up a waffle like it is a blinged out g-unit chain for you to see how he rolls. This song and its video just make me happy.

The 5 that almost made it......

**Eisly "Tree Tops"
Dustin Kensrue "Blood & Whine"
Cody ChesnuTT "Look Good In Leather"
Rufus WainWright "Cigarettes & Chocolate Milk"
TV on the Radio "Wolf like Me"**
